What is forgiveness? Where to seek forgiveness? Where to keep boundaries? Let’s talk.

What is forgiveness

Forgiveness is the name of self realization. The thing that you need to put in your head is that no one will forgive you for sins you never committed to them but yourself. Many people will have this false illusion that your sins were done to them but in reality those sins were yours, your own doing, to yours own self, by you and the day you forgive yourself and you realise I am being tormented for the sins done to myself is the day you will find your salvation.

Where to seek forgiveness?

Easy, your own self. Forgive yourself first and then repent and beg your God’s mercy. No human will ever forgive you for the sins you did to yourself, don’t seek them.

I think that if God forgives us we must forgive ourselves. Otherwise, it is almost like setting up ourselves as a higher tribunal than him. – C. S.

But if you have truly harmed someone directly, even then ask your God to create a spring of forgiveness in their hearts.

Where to keep boundaries

Draw certain circles that no one should cross and certainly the ones with the false perception that the sins done to yourself were you wronging them.

Clearly tell them what you did was to your own self, don’t further belittle me for it!

Turn down the volume of your negative inner voice and create a nurturing inner voice to take it’s place. When you make a mistake, forgive yourself, learn from it, and move on instead of obsessing about it. Equally important, don’t allow anyone else to dwell on your mistakes or shortcomings or to expect perfection from you.
